Emily in Paris stars Lily Collins and Ashley Park texted each other before their PaleyFest appearance and came up with a plan to go twinsies for the event. “Red dress with a cutout?” “Red dress with a cutout, girl.” Unforch, there are a lot of variations on that theme, so instead of twinning, they went in a more themey direction.

Personally, we don’t think it’s the right time of the year for a dark red velvet gown. But given how many floaty spring florals we saw in December, we’re not surprised. It’s really just okay as a design. The sleeve on one side with a lumpy shoulder treatment on the other leaves her looking askew and unbalanced. The cutout is okay we guess, but the hem length is awkward, especially with those goofy pumps.

This is more of a classic sexy gown. Our only real quibble with the design is the spaghetti strap, which looks flimsy. But she looks hot in it and the gold sandals were the only way to go.
