Cannes Watch: Everyone’s Got a Random

Posted on May 19, 2011

Darlings, let’s slap up a bunch of random pictures from the Cannes Film Festival and form opinions, shall we?

PinKirsten Dunst attends the “Melancholia” Premiere during the 64th Cannes Film Festival at the Palais des Festivals in Rodarte.

PinAt first glance we were all, “Wow, that’s kind of an interesting dress,” but stepping back, we realize it’s more like three interesting dresses. Rodarte is all about odd juxtapositions in their designs, so this is par for the course with them. We like it, but we think we’d like it more without the dust ruffle.

PinNaomi Campbell attends “The Beaver” premiere at the Palais des Festivals during the 64th Cannes Film Festival in Azzedine Alaia.

PinIt’s not our favorite dress – in fact, we’re not even sure we like it – but leave it to Naomi to sell the shit out of it. We don’t think any woman but a supermodel could make ruffles running horizontally across the hips look good. We are disappointed that she appears to be wearing platform shoes. Ladies, no platforms with gowns. It is written.

PinJodie Foster attends the “Melancholia” premiere during the 64th Annual Cannes Film Festival at Palais des Festivals in Balenciaga.

PinA little too shiney and nightgown-y.

PinBar Refaeli attends “The Beaver” Premiere during the 64th Cannes Film Festival at the Palais des Festivals in Roberto Cavalli.

PinWork that butt dress, girl!

That’s a lot of dress, but she looks pretty fierce.

PinMilla Jovovich attends the “La Conquete” Premiere during the 64th Annual Cannes Film Festival at the Palais des Festivals in Prada.

PinWe weren’t entirely sure about this one, but the more we look at it, the more chic it becomes to us. There’s a certain soigne quality to it, even if it is a tough dress to wear. Her makeup’s a little harsh, but we love the hair. It’s got a 1920s kind of feel to it, which goes perfectly with the straight lines of the dress.
