In or Out: Kirsten Dunst in Chloé

Kirsten Dunst attended the “Melancholia” photocall at the Palais des Festivals during the 64th Cannes Film Festival in a Chloé dress paired with Jimmy Choo shoes and our reactions are mixed. Let’s go to the tape:

Aw, we feel bad. She used to go out looking like ten different shades of crap and she’s really been pulling herself together in the last year or two. This is such a vast improvement over the way she dressed a couple of years ago that we feel bad we don’t unconditionally love it. It’s such a pretty, flirty little dress and it fits her perfectly. It also suits her body and style. But as a look, this isn’t coming together as well as it should. We’re not sure who looks good in a mustard yellow, but we’re positive that Kiki isn’t one of those people. The shoes are killa, but they’re also not the best color choice. Kirsten’s a very pale, washed-out kinda gal and these tones just don’t look all that great against her skin. When you top off the look with a slash of bright red on the mouth, it only serves to highlight how bad the color looks on her. Her hair’s cute (if way too limp) and that ring is adorable, but we think if the dress and shoes were in more flattering shades, we’d be more likely to urge you all to declare her IN. As it is, we’re leaving it up to you. Choose wisely, minions.The fate of absolutely nothing is in your hands.
