That’s just straight-up tacky-ass. We suppose we should be grateful it’s rendered in a neutral because this dress in black or red would have been way too “porn star,” even for the VMAs. Still, maybe a blue or green? We don’t know… it just looks like she skinned some white girl and turned her into a slutty cocktail dress.

Strangely, we think this might have been more acceptable as a gown. There’s something disappointing about that scrolldown. If the hem had gone to the floor, this might not have looked so much like a swimsuit coverup.

But what really kills this look, in our never-humble opinion, is the fact that she’s clearly WORKING SO HARD. This just isn’t a dress you can relax in for a second, unless you’ve called for a meeting in the ladies room. Granted, it’s kind of nice to see someone with such rigidly good posture on the red carpet because it’s pretty rare, but we can’t help thinking she’s too sore to get out of bed this morning from hours of ab-clenching in 4-inch heels. In other words, it must be exhausting to be J Lo.
