We’ve been giving the leading ladies of The Devil Wears Prada 2 plenty of spotlight posts, so we figure it’s time to shine our judgey light on their co-star Simone Ashley, who isn’t exactly shy about her promotional style choices.

This is a word we try to avoid when writing about fashion but girl, your dress is ugly. It’s not merely “awkward,” or “unflattering,” or “overdesigned” or any of the other words one uses in fashion writing when one does not want to come right out and say the obvious. It’s just a hideous collection of colors and elements. We might have been able to accept it if you got rid of all those eye-searing bright green patches, which look awful with the rest of the colors, but it would still be boxy and overwrought.

Welcome to the 2023 Barbie world tour! Not that there’s anything wrong with wearing bubblegum pink. We’re actually grateful that she hasn’t restricted her color choices to the film’s logo and branding, like her co-stars tend to. Still, this is a wrinkled mess and those saddlebags are weird.
