The news of her pregnancy reached the red carpet literally hours before she did, and we have to admit, we assumed when we heard it that she would be taking things a little easy this time around. Not that she ever slacks off on the Met Gala red carpet, but in recent years, she’s favored swaddling herself in massive amounts of fabric to produce moments of high drama. We didn’t expect such a structured and tailored take from her, but A$AP is a co-chair and the theme is a salute to tailoring and Black dandies, so there was simply no way she wasn’t going to come correct. We LOVE how the bustle is formed out of a suit jacket and how her pregnant belly is so beautifully highlighted. Oh, and the faux spats. And the brooches. And the hat. Actually, there’s nothing we don’t love about this design. We are, however, somewhat surprised to note that the makeup is strangely harsh.
