T: She really is perf– oh, no.
Lo: OH NO!
Consider yourself prepared.
Oof. It starts off so elegantly chic and then it suddenly takes a hard left turn toward “craft project.” Literally everything from the waist up – bodice, makeup, hair, earrings – is absolutely gorgeous. We want to be able to say that the unexpected qualities of the skirt freshen up a classic or offer a bold juxtaposition, but we honestly hate how clumsily craftsy it looks. It’s possible we could accept that folded-paper effect if you got rid of the train and the asymmetrical hem. Just let it be a full, ballgown-style skirt and let the effect have a little room to breathe. As is, it just looks like a pile of stuff trailing behind her.
