While a good deal of these entries aren’t quite as notable as Chadwick’s, Ben’s, Billy’s or Darren’s eye-popping efforts, we nonetheless salute these fine gentlemen, not just for being fine but for dressing fine. And a few of them even managed to bust out of the box a little, which is always a welcome sight when judging the menfolk.
Cody Fern in Maison Margiela
Case in point, Mr. Cody showing up in a sheer-yoked Margiela blouse and a pair of toe boots. He is serving world class face and hair, which is a good thing, because the outfit, while admirably bold, is kind of frumpy.
Dave Franco in Saint Laurent
Love the extremely subtle pattern of the jacket.
Idris Elba in Ozwald Boateng (with Sabrina Dhowre)
He managed to pull himself together, button the jacket and put on the tie for his presentation, thank goodness. Because when he did, he wound up looking amazing. It’s a shame the man doesn’t love formalwear, because when he gets it completely right, he’s breathtaking. Anyways, this is a gorgeous jacket.
John David Washington in Dior Homme
It’s clearly a beautiful suit, but we don’t think the coat favors him all that well.
John Krasinski in Brunello Cucinelli
That’ll do nicely.
Luke Evans in Alexander McQueen
We have no complaints.
Mahershala Ali in Etro
Love a man who can work a formal scarf and not come off pretentious about it.
Manny Jacinto
The tux is basic. We’re just hear for the bone structure.
Richard Madden in Giorgio Armani
Never has a streak of gray done so much work to make a man stunning. He looks fantastic.
Stephan James in Ralph Lauren
LOVELOVELOVE. Every single, tight, velvet inch of it, from tip to gold toes.
Timothée Chalamet in Louis Vuitton
If the Chalamet wants to wear a sparkly harness on the red carpet, who are we to argue with that? His ways are magical and not to be questioned.
Troye Sivan in Calvin Klein
We get that he likes to wear his clothes big and loose, but the proportions look pretty damn silly here.
