A quartet of celebrity ladies headed to Paris to snag some surprisingly sharp looks in order to sit in the front row at the Loewe show. We probably oversold that a little because every one of these ensembles has at least one glaring detail that we’re gonna nitpick or hate. On the other hand, they all look gorgeous, so it tends to make for the perfect bitchy red carpet post. It’s not you, it’s your dress, dear. Or in these cases, your shoes, your pants or your sweater. Let’s go pull on a thread and see what happens!
Aubrey Plaza
The shoes are incredibly goofy, but we don’t actually hate them. We can see them working with a different sort of look (one with pants), and considering how ugly all of the high-vamp pumps have been for the last season or two, this one doesn’t bug nearly as much. Love the jacket but it looks silly without a skirt or pants under it.
Emily Ratajkowski
Two things are happening in fashion right now: leather, and fucked-up ways of wearing basic garments. People out here wearing their sleeves on their boobs and their skirts on their heads and whatnot. Stuff and nonsense. Put that thing on like a normal person or find a more fabulous abnormal way of wearing it, but you look like you forgot your shirt.
Julia Garner
Love the jacket and shoes, hate that awful yellow stripe. She has such a knack for wearing shades. We don’t think there’s a style that wouldn’t work on that face.
Sarah Pidgeon
We have the least objections to this one, but paradoxically, it’s also the one we like the least. It just looks to our eyes like a very expensive version of a very basic outfit. That leather scarf is dumb. We feel kind of bad for her because it seems like everyone wants to dress her in ’90s wear.
