Congratulations to Hayley Atwell upon being awarded the Best Shakespearean Performance at the Critics’ Circle Theatre Awards for her performance in Much Ado About Nothing. To mark this glorious occasion, we’re gonna put your dress up to a vote.

Actually, we lied. The dress is actually pretty great. Maybe it comes off a little dark and heavy for this setting and time of year, but it’s cute and it suits her well. We don’t have a single critique of it. The boots, however, stood out immediately because they sure wouldn’t have been our recommendation; too dark and too heavy for a short-sleeved dress. Then we noticed all of the jewelry choices, each of which strikes us as a little odd or not quite right for the outfit. We don’t think the pieces at the neck or the hip add anything of worth to the outfit and the bone cuff doesn’t really go with any of the other more vintage-looking pieces. It’s a good dress that could have been part of a great look, but we think the styling lets it down. But of course, it’s not what we think that matters here. It’s what you think. Let’s hear it:
