Princess Cathy is having a busy week, as princess weeks go. Following up on her Saint Patrick’s Day engagement with the Royal Irish Guards, she ditched her shamrocks and got into British-Nigerian designer Tolu Coker’s wares to welcome The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu at Windsor Castle.
Bill’s in a morning coat, so this is a fairly formal situation. As for the princess’s coat, it’s a sober, sharp design and we especially like the two-tone lapels. It’s unusual to see her in such a muted neutral, which may be why we find it appealing. The hat is fine but we’ll never like when she wears these things with her hair down. The coat has some unfortunate puckering all over its seams and edges.
