To say they took wildly different style approaches to the occasion is understating it significantly.

This suit is making us think he really is in the running to play James Bond. His style has always been generic and neutral but a brown tweed suit with a silk tie is definitely a step up. The colors look good. We know we’re always saying that guys should sport footwear with a heavy silhouette, but those things look like work boots. Still, we’re impressed by the effort. He looks great.

Shrugs over here. Look, we’re happy homos, so this sort of look is naturally going to interest us less than people who get excited at the prospect of seeing Dua Lipa’s crack. Even so, we think the returns have diminished so much with this style that it tends to come off forgettable to almost everyone. Who hasn’t seen this dress a million times by now (among the limited group of people who pay attention to such things, of course)?
