Verbatim T Lo early morning editorial meeting:
Lo: Meghan was at the Sundance Film Festival promoting her documentary about Girl Scout cookies. Should we cover all of her appearances?
T: How many did she make?
Lo: There was a photo call, a premiere, and a party.
T: And she wore boring, nondescript outfits to each of them, I’ll bet.
Lo: Well…
Thus it came to pass. Look, we get that Sundance doesn’t lend itself to high end fashion moments, even as we also get that she is simply not interested in serving such moments. Even so, these are almost aggressively bland choices. It seems to us that she’s using fashion to make a statement and that statement is “I don’t care about fashion.” Fine, but you’re not some private philanthropist, you’re a film and television producer promoting your projects. A freaking red sweater every now and then shouldn’t be too much to handle. He’s whatever. The vest is cute, the boots aren’t bad. He could still use some color. We think he’s dying his hair and beard now.
