We just got finished saying that One Battle After Another star Chase Infiniti is a STAR and that she’s using fashion very wisely at this moment, by securing attention while the spotlight shines on her and now we’re going to initiate her into the next phase of her fashion career: having total strangers vote on her outfit. She stopped by the New York Film Critics Circle Awards in a dress so ruffled it may have caused minor headaches in us. Briefly.

That is a whole lot of ruffling going on. We haven’t changed our minds about over-ruffled looks or tiered skirts, both of which we tend to dislike, but there’s some sort of magic or alchemy going on here, because we don’t seem to mind them as much. Maybe it’s the irregularity of the ruffles in the top or maybe the lack of color helps keep the look from overwhelming her, but we’re largely okay with this, right down to the white pumps.
