He’s Chalameting his way all the way to the Oscars. Yes, it’s a verb now. Or it will be if he actually succeeds. As we noted a couple of weeks back when he was stunting his way through the Marty Supreme premiere week, Timothée Chalamet may just wind up rewriting the rules for Oscar campaigning for men — but only if he actually wins the Oscar. The Golden Globes shouldn’t necessarily be seen as a predictor of Oscar success, but it’s notable that he snagged a Golden Globe win while dressed for his shift at the gas station.
It’s actually not a bad suit, but the somewhat sweaty attempts to dude it down — the t-shirt, chain, undone boots — feel a bit pretentious to our eyes. You have to work and arrange everything just so in order to appear above it all for the Golden Globes.
