The stars of Anaconda made a surprising effort for the LA premiere. We wouldn’t have figure a film like this, with this cast, opening on this week would deliver looks, but some of them truly answered the call. Let’s judge.
Jack Black
As expected. All things considered, it’s a very nice pair of pajamas.
Steve Zahn
Well, the boots are nice, we guess. They don’t belong with that suit, but the suited-and-booted trend probably isn’t going away any time soon. The suit is decent, but the styling brings the whole look down and if you don’t want to be photographed wearing your glasses, put them in your pocket.
Thandiwe Newton in Wiederhoeft
We can understand why any ladystar would want to turn out a major look for a red carpet premiere, but if your co-stars are Paul Rudd and Jack Black, this level of effort seems like a bit of a waste. It doesn’t help that the look is tired (if we never see another corset top again, it’ll be too soon). ill-fitting and tacky. That fringed edge is giving us eyelid twitches.
Paul Rudd
It’s a nice suit and we like the shirt color, but that jacket is uncharacteristically snug on him. Also, the grooming is not great. At the very least, he needs a haircut.
Selton Mello
We’ll never love turtlenecks, but this is a pretty great look for him.
Daniela Melchior in Dsquared2
Just what every little girl dreams of: a dress the color of wet cement. It’s not a terrible color if its utilized well and the skirt looks quite nice, but that bodice is fussily overdesigned.
