We handed out a few spotlight posts to several of the attendees, but it’s long past time for us to put the 2025 Gotham Film Awards red carpet to bed, good and judged. Let’s go.
Alexander Skarsgård in Valentino

He looks great, but we still think his current run of red carpet looks are borderline gimmicky.
Amanda Seyfried in Valentino

We suppose that’s supposed to represent a leaf or a feather, but it just looks like a napkin to us.
Chase Infiniti in Louis Vuitton

This is not our favorite style of dress, but she’s well suited to it. The design doesn’t lend itself to padded shoulders.
Chloë Sevigny in Saint Laurent

Meh. It’s just a fancy t-shirt.
Elle Fanning in Ralph Lauren

Pretty, but extremely basic.
Emma Laird in Louis Vuitton

We’ll NEVER sign off on that freakish bust design, but the rest of the look is interesting and eye-catching. That’s too much gray for a red carpet, though.
Ethan Hawke in Tom Ford

Looks great. That’s more impeccable than most of his efforts, so it’s kind of a shame he’s ruining the line by posing like that.
Felicity Jones in Armani Privé

From the waist up, she looks like she’s working the carving station.
Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster

It’s almost impressive how dull they look.
Imogen Poots in Kallmeyer

Great color, but we hate any design that connects the bust to the sleeves like that.
Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas in Bottega Veneta

We don’t know if it was designed to be worn that way or not. We just know that we hate it.
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior

The top half is great but that skirt design is way too goofy.
Joel Edgerton

He looks great. We just wish he wasn’t dressed so monochromatically.
Kate Hudson in Ralph Lauren

It seems like these Jean Harlow-style gowns are trending. This one’s better than Jenna Ortega’s version.
Kristen Stewart in Chanel

Who knew that, after all these years complaining that she’s not well-suited to Chanel, she’d do best with the aesthetic by essentially dressing in Coco Chanel cosplay? It’s a great suit.
Michael B. Jordan in Prada

Lovely.
Miles Caton

No arguments here, not even with the turtleneck.
Naomi Watts in Calvin Klein

Very pretty and well suited to her.
Nina Hoss

Jesus Christ, that skirt is a fashion jump scare. Absolutely NOT, Nina.
Oscar Isaac

No complaints.
Regina Hall

We hate the sleeves but not as much as we hate this current trend for ruching and pleating across the midriff.
Renate Reinsve in Louis Vuitton

This is insane and we LOVE it.
Riley Keough in Chanel

The silhouette is very late ’80s, but the rest of the design is wholly modern. We like the skirt. The sandals look completely wrong with it.
Rose Byrne (in Louis Vuitton) and Bobby Cannavale

Mom and Dad cleaned up nicely for date night.
Teyana Taylor in Chanel

No, ma’am. Absolutely not. We’re usually fully supportive of her cray style preferences, but this is a hard no from us.
Zoey Deutch in Prada

Of all the ladystars in yellow gowns we’ve seen over the last month – and we’ve seen a LOT – this is the best shade on the right wearer. We just wish we didn’t hate the dress.
