The stars all lined up in the tackiest fits they could get their hands on for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which is the only correct way to approach the occasion. On the other hand, a couple of these attendees managed the impossible: they looked kind of great, and we are duty bound to compliment them in their wrongness. Let’s get to it!
Amy Sedaris
She’s thrilled. This is a dream come true. The top and skirt don’t coordinate well but the latter is pretty.
Chloë Sevigny
She’s a sex kitten in kitten heels and she’s clearly feeling herself. And why not? She gets to show off her legs AND wear a fucked-up dress. This is what she lives for.
Dascha Polanco
We realize that “subway flasher” is the look, but it does come off kind of goofy with this combination. She has too much boob for that flimsy bra top to handle.
Indya Moore
If you’re gonna wear a nightgown, it’s best not to try little tricks to make it more formal. The gloves just cheapen it. The way to accessorize lingerie is with lots of diamonds.
Jeremy Pope
All things considered, like the fact that he’s wearing a brown satin suit, he’s managing to retain his dignity.
Jodie Turner-Smith
Of course she makes it look fabulous.
Karen Gillan
Sexy widow.
Matt Rogers
These aren’t terrible pieces but they do nothing for him.
Nayeon, Jihyo, Tzuyu and Momo of TWICE
In a different setting, we might consider that lattice skirt of the lace dress to be unbearably tacky, but they come off downright elegant here. They all look gorgeous.

A walking “Meh.”
Sarah Jessica Parker
The most un-Victoria’s Secret Runway Show-like ensemble she could have possibly picked. Gets a little tricky on the bottom, but it’s sharp and kind of chic, which is a hell of a feat for this setting.
