With Superman opening today, star Rachel Brosnahan managed to work in a final burst of Lois Lane-ing in New York.

Not bad, in a vaguely ’90s sort of way, but there always seems to be at least one wildly off detail in all of her looks. With this one, it’s those white pumps. We just don’t get how you look at a brown plaid outfit and conclude that it needs white footwear.

It’s cute and it suits her, but she kinda looks like an NBC page. Personally, we’d have waved her away from all of the Thom Browne accessories, but that seems to be the deal with that brand. No one ever breaks up the ensemble and mixes it with other pieces. When a celebrity wears Thom Browne, they wear it head to toe. In related news, she does not have a good hair team.

Don’t get us wrong. The hairstyles are, for the most part, well executed. They just don’t suit her. This lady should be working big blowouts on this tour. As for the outfit, bless her heart. She really does have the tackiest of tastes. Everything about this look is overly complicated. She needs simpler fashion and bigger hair.
