Julianne Moore has been loosening up her once rigidly narrow promotional style in the last year or so and her latest two looks on the publicity tour for Echo Valley are some of her best in a good while.

If we want to be incredibly nitpicky bitches, we could note that the sandals don’t pop as much as they should. A brown or black sandal would’ve been our rec. But that’s the only note we have. It’s a fantastic suit, a perfectly on point day time, summer in the city kind of style. She looks professional and this looks effortless. Love those shoulderpads.

On the one hand, a black velvet gown is kind of insane for June. On the other hand, we love the shape of this one. She’s clearly having a strong shoulder moment.The hair and makeup are fantastic. We’d have liked to have seen this about 6 months from now or 6 months ago, but at least it landed on the right wearer. Let’s face it, she’s not a springtime florals kind of gal.
