Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman had themselves a sassy little date night at the Academy of Country Music Awards. They chose not to sport countrified finery.
Not that we ever expected them to. Neither of them have ever been the Grand Ol’ Opry types, although we admit to being a little surprised by how stark and …there’s no other way to put this, New York… their outfits are. They look like they’re at a Fashion Week party circa 2015 or so. Anyway, they’re both perfectly acceptable. The suit looks good on him. Yeah, the cartoon boots look a little silly, but he’s always had goofy tastes in footwear (which we’ve always presumed to be fueled by the height differential) and it would be silly of us to complain about a lack of dress shoes at a country music event. As for her, the whole half-skirt-over-pants thing is okay, but she’d look much better if she were just wearing the pants.
