Cameron Diaz is back on the streets of New York filming her enemies-to-lovers rom com, The Sham, and sporting some highly distinct “I’m poor and wacky” costume design.
She plays a struggling comedian who marries some upscale dude who needs a wife for business purposes because she needs health insurance. We have not the slightest doubt that the film will not only feature a makeover in which she gets to ditch her poor-people clothes, but that it will end with her as a much more conventionally stylish woman. Love will tame her and make her more acceptable. On the other hand, we’re willing to be pleasantly surprised and if they want to end the film with the uptight guy dressing like an unemployed roadie, we’d be all for it.
