Jack Quaid, you are in our good graces. We realize this news must be both a relief and somewhat confusing to you, so please allow us to explain. In fact, have a seat.
You see, we are very much in a dour, colorless era in fashion. Menswear in particular has become monochromatic and neutral, if not downright businesslike. Even if we can get a dude to wear a colorful suit, he usually winds up matching his tie and his shirt to it, which makes him look like he was spray-painted. What we want to see in menswear is not just color, but contrast and pattern as well. This is why the star of Novocaine is now Number One on our Good Graces List. The suit is fantastic and even that chartreuse is working for him, but what really makes us happy is that contrasting print shirt. As we always say to these guys, you’re performers. You should dress like it. Look at the image he’s projecting here. Sure, it’s largely his own gregarious personality at work, but the point is, he chose clothing that reflects that personality perfectly. Having said all that, the socks clash. We won’t hold it against him.
