We’re putting together a rundown of all the black gowns on the Golden Globes red carpet this year, but we had to give Viola Davis’s Gucci a little shoutout because we absolutely love what she’s done with it.
And when we say “What she’s done with it,” we’re referring to the alterations made and the total shift in styling since the last time she wore this dress, to the LACMA Art + Film Gala in November. A reminder:
She looks great in both iterations, but she took the look from Michelle Obama to Diana Ross and we can’t help but adore that. It’s like a textbook illustration of how styling can completely alter the entire feel of a dress.
