We noted yesterday when Cynthia Erivo made her own post-Wicked premiere morning chat show appearance that both stars of the film are in a potentially interesting period when it comes to their public style. The film’s out and it’s a huge hit, so neither of the stars should feel they have to continue the relentless theme-dressing that’s characterized this publicity tour. On the other hand, they’re both riding serious Oscar nom buzz AND Wicked Part Two opens in less than a year. What’s a stylish witch to do? Keep that theme-dressing train running, we suppose. Ariana Grande stopped by The Drew Barrymore Show in a Glinda costume and she was probably glad she did, because Drew surprised her with the original wand wielded by Billie Burke in 1939’s The Wizard of Oz.

It’s a sharp little outfit that actually looks more like a costume from the film than a lot of the poofy pink gowns she’s been wearing, but also just looks current and on trend, for the most part. We still think she looks terrible in most shades of pink, which is pretty ironic, given the role, but this is probably one of our favorite of her Wicked tour outfits.
