When did everyone get a pixie cut? Not that we’re complaining, but it felt like the fuckass bob trend ended really abruptly. Anyway, Smile2 star Naomi Scott sported a really sassy and cute one, along with a dress that feels exactly right for a horror movie premiere, if not necessarily the freshest design.

We go back and forth. On the one hand, it’s not the freshest design. On the other hand, it has real possibilities as a Beetlejuice-esque goth prom sort of take. On the third, scary hand, none of the styling says goth. We tend to think that’s where the look falls down. Not that she needs to sport black lips or skull jewelry, but the makeup and styling are kind of generic “pretty girl” when the dress calls for something with a little more edge to it.
