Here we go! The most pretentious movie publicity tour of all time is about to commence! Keep your hands inside the car at all time, because Lady Gaga is at the London premiere of the long-awaited Joker: Folie à Deux and yes, she absolutely is going to make us all sick of Harlequin-adjacent fashion by the time this is all over!
We wonder how many different hair colors she’s going to go through on this tour. We absolutely knew she was going to be doing Barbie-level theme-dressing for this one and we can’t even get all that mad about it. Some roles just beg for that approach and she’s particularly well-suited to give this theme a rockstar flair, as she does here. The face owes as much to Bowie and Rocky Horror as it does to the Joker, which is as it should be. The gown is striking and askew, which is pretty much the best way to describe Gaga’s style when she’s really nailing it. The Tiffany jewelry ends it all that air of prestige. When you think about it, she’s doing a great job of conveying rock star, comic book character and Oscar-track actress in one look.
