Anna Sawai won her first Emmy on her first nomination for her stunning work in Shōgun. More importantly, she made us love a fairly basic Vera Wang gown. Her accomplishments just keep piling up.
Generally speaking, we don’t love tiered skirts, but that flounce is perfectly placed and proportioned. We love the pleat as well as the deep plunge and high points of the bustline; just subtle little details that take the design away from being generic. The color looks amazing on her and we really appreciate the low-key styling, which suits her and allows the dress to shine.
