Oh, kittens. We are SO torn over Nicole Kidman’s Balenciaga gown at the Venice Film Festival premiere of Babygirl. Why? Because it embodies so many things we hate, a few things we love, and a bunch of things that are just right for her.
Things we love: Drama, grandeur, a strong use of black – all of which benefit her greatly on a red carpet. Things we hate: Fringe, beige, raw edges. Things that are good for her: All of it, really. We have some quibbles and dislikes, but the overall look is fantastic. If we had a magic editing wand, we’d do away with the corseting and reduce the height of that bustline a little. The hair’s only so-so and the makeup looks pretty harsh to us.
