Like mother, like daughter. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice stars Jenna Ortega and Winona Ryder are clearly huge fans of each other and they spent their time on the Venice Film Festival premiere red carpet paying sartorial tribute to their co-star.

Jenna paid tribute to Winona’s iconic red wedding dress costume from the original film and Winona came in Wednesday Addams cosplay. The funny thing is, their styles are so similar, that it just looks like they each picked their fave outfit.

Jenna’s look works because of the reference and because the drama of it suits her really well. We had a feeling she’d be paying homage to the wedding gown and we’re thrilled that she opted to take the look as far away from cosplay as possible while still being a recognizable reference. Having said that, we hate the shape of the bodice, although she looks fantastic from the back.

Wednesday-Winona won this one hands down (not that it’s a competition or anything but okay yes it is absolutely a competition). Homage aside, the style suits her and looks great on her. We’re not entirely convinced on the bun, but it’s a fun surprise coming from her.
