Yes. Exactly. “What the fuck” is what we said out loud as well. When not even Marion Cotillard, possibly the most French woman alive, can’t make a Chanel tweed suit work, it’s time to wonder if the House of Coco has lost its way. The problem with the Chanel aesthetic is that it’s so well established that it’s almost impossible to interpret it or modernize it. Every time someone tries, this is what they wind up with; a basic Chanel suit with one really dumb detail added to it.
