
Ciara came to the Fashion Institute of Technology Gala honoring GAP CEO Richard Dickson in a GAP by Zac Posen creation. Since this is our only single-look post of the day, and since it’s a whole lot of white satin (which tends to inspire opinion-forming), we’re putting it up to a vote.




And it may just be one of the best satin gowns we’ve seen in months. Did they lower her from a helicopter? Did she get dressed behind the scrim? Because that is an impressive lack of wrinkles. Quibbles? Why certainly: we know that Zac has been reworking and paying homage to that Sharon Stone GAP oxford moment at the Oscars decades ago, but we’d have liked this more in a color. All that white satin can’t help but read a little bridal. It’s also too tight in the bust and we don’t love how the sash adds such lumpy volume at the waist. Despite all that, we still think it’s a pretty sharp look, so let’s hear it:
