…puzzling to us. The gown has some issues, but it’s not terrible. The somewhat dingy color story doesn’t help, nor does the lining situation. We get why a gal wouldn’t want to bare her panties or give herself Barbie crotch by wearing a nude illusion tight, but the flesh-colored miniskirt does not seem like a viable alternative to either of those choices. Just line the damn skirt already. We’re not a hundred percent on the bodice design either, since the bust looks a little stiff and we’ve always had a thing about belts over bare skin (said thing summed up as “We hate it”). But what really puzzles us is the styling here. We’re always complaining about ladies wearing their hair down when an up do is called for, so we appreciate the deployment here, but something about the hair and makeup comes off a little aging to us. And finally, the cherry on top of this nitpicking sundae, that necklace in no way coordinates with that dress.
