The word for today is “smart,” as in, “Doesn’t this ensemble that Oscar-noninated star of Poor Things Emma Stone wore on the way into the Good Morning America look smart?”

Well? Doesn’t it? You can tell she’s an Oscar nominee because her public style has suddenly gotten more conservative and less quirky. In fact, when she takes the coat off, the whole look is so middle-of-the-road that it instantly looks a little generic on camera:

But we suppose you could call it relatable. You wouldn’t want to show up at Good Morning America looking full of yourself, now would you? The coat and boots are what make the look for us, but we have to admit, that’s a pretty sweet skirt as well. Kudos to her for honoring her LV contract and not looking like a smacked ass. It’s not always easy, as we’ve seen many times over.
