Miss Da’Vine has arrived. To be fair, she’s been arriving over and over again throughout her career, but she’s really grabbing this moment and making the most out of it with her style choices. We said a while back that the fashion industry was put on notice that it absolutely must step up and give this rising star the kinds of style options available to your average Margot Robbie. We’re happy to see that’s exactly what’s happening as the folks at Rodarte delivered this delicious custom frock for her as she picked up her Best Supporting Actress trophy.
As we noted in our post-red carpet writeup for Cosmopolitan, the fit is fitting and the girls are girling. We LOVE that clamshell bust, which could have come off tacky and gimmicky, but in that deep merlot red it looks stunning. The fit is superb and while we wouldn’t necessarily advise placing a peplum that high, it’s clearly her preference and provides her with a little coverage so she can move freely. It’s true that she had a little trouble keeping the ladies in place as she walked up to the stage, but as red carpet moments go, this one can’t be beat.
