Going into the Golden Globes, we wondered two things: whether Margot Robbie was going to continue her Barbie cosplaying and whether the Barbiecore trend still had any life in it. After all, why would you choose to wear pink on the same red carpet with the current most famous pink-wearer in the world? Nevertheless, these gals persisted.

It’s a flawless recreation of 1977’s Superstar Barbie, right down to the cleverly overscaled tulle. This was a great choice for the Globes because it’s an iconic Barbie look, but it’s not overly grandiose. She looks relatively comfortable and perfectly on point for the occasion. Of course she does. Barbie is always appropriate.

It’s pretty, but that color is honestly terrible for her. You need vivid colors, girl. The pink eyeshadow makes her look like she’s ill.

It’s giving Natalie Wood in Gypsy. The fit and color are absolutely beautiful on her. We tend not to love diamante-style trim as a replacement for jewelry, but the neckline actually works, maybe because it’s relatively subtle. Quibbles: her hair’s kind of a mess and we can’t wait for that sheer opera glove trend to die.

This was extremely dramatic when the wind kicked up. We said in our Cosmo writeup that she looked like she should be standing on a cliff somewhere. Unfortunately, without any wind, she just looks like a particularly fabulous mummy.

It’s Barbiecore, J Lo style, meaning it’s big and draggy and dramatic. Those rosettes are entirely too much, which is why they’re perfect for her.
