Sometimes, we feature a dress for no other reason than it’s pretty and the wearer looks great in it, even if the design or styling doesn’t lend itself to much in the way of dissection and discussion. In other words, here’s Killers of the Flower Moon star Lily Gladstone at the Elle Women in Hollywood Awards. Doesn’t she look pretty?
Not the most photogenic dress in the world – plain black ones rarely are – but even under these lighting conditions we can tell that it looks great on her. The earrings are fabulous, but we think she needed neck and hand jewelry more. We’d have dialed back on the earrings and put her in a big pendant and maybe a tennis bracelet or cocktail ring.
