Priscilla star Cailee Spaeny has adopted a sort of retro twee style while promoting the film (thanks to a SAG AFTRA waiver), although she also seems to prefer a minimalism that doesn’t always work with retro twee. It hasn’t always worked for her, but we appreciate how well she’s avoided the dreaded cosplay, which is a temptation when you’re playing an iconic figure from pop culture history with a distinctive style. She’s avoided dressing like Priscilla Presley and instead is dressing how you would expect the heroine of a Sofia Coppola film to dress. Low-key femininity with a touch of the girly:

It surprises us to admit that we think this is cute. We normally hate bows on grown-ass people, but the simple design of the suit and the lack of any color or embellishment gives it an interesting vibe. She doesn’t appear to like a lot of fuss in her promo style, so this gives exactly the right amount of visual interest without giving her any trouble.
