As we predicted (and keep noting ad nauseam), the stars took a minute to adjust to a world without red carpets and other forms of self-promotion, but they eventually course-corrected, allowing them to put on pretty clothes and stand in front of cameras the way God intended them to. Anne Hathaway’s out hawking beauty products and now Priyanka Chopra is taking up the cause for Victoria’s Secret. Like nature, capitalism always finds a way, darlings. Miss Pri was out in a sassy OdlR frock to show support for VS’s Tour Impact Fund, which “support[s] organizations… that are actively working towards gender equality, with a particular focus on uplifting underserved and marginalized voices.” Who can argue with that? Not us. Let’s judge her dress instead.
Lady, you almost had us until we got to the fringe. The effect seems a bit more obvious in the look book shot below, but the floral print is woven through the cutouts. That’s an interesting and effective design element, but it’s absolutely ruined by the fringe, which gives the impression that someone was still working on this dress when she opted to put it on.
