When you’re Good Lady Cate and you want to sit front row at an Armani show, no one can tell you what to wear for the occasion. Unlike most stars at a Milan fashion show, Cate doesn’t need anyone to hand her something to wear for the occasion. She’ll just reach into her closet and pull out an old fave.

She wore this 2009 Armani jumpsuit to one of the film festival premieres of Tár earlier this year (which seems like it was a hundred years ago for some reason). The Armani folks had to have hoped she’d wear something a little more current and less seen than this, but the lady likes what the lady likes and even a bunch of fashion publicists are powerless before her wishes. It’s an okay look. We put it up to a vote last time and you kittens didn’t seem to love it. The zipper is distracting and we can’t say we love the turtle-shell cape. Like a lot of Good Lady Cate’s public ensembles, if it works at all it’s because she’s wearing it.
