A perfect cold-weather Spring ensemble, we’d say. To repeat ourselves once again: we don’t love black-backed florals most of the time. We do love this one, though. The scale, placement and colors of the florals work really well with it. The bag is cute, the shoes are fine, but the coat, darlings. It’s gorgeous and it looks expensive. Those closures are to die for.

You’ll pry two things out of Queen Helen’s cold hands: a headband and something from her beloved D&G. She won’t give either of them up. This is a smart, sharp, very NYC sort of look. The pleated skirt is lovely and gives the look a classic, understated feel which works well with the large-scale tweed pattern of the coat. We don’t love the fringe because it’s giving blanket, but the look as a whole really works for her.
