Ashley Park in Elie Saab Couture
Girlfriend is really bringing the drama with her posing style. We figure a cape, a thigh slit and that much sparkle probably demands some dramatic posing.
Aubrey Plaza in Michael Kors Collection
This is hideous, to be quite honest. Kors is usually so good at not using dicey elements that rarely work, so we’re surprised to see this from him. We don’t know how she left the house wearing this without seeing how unflattering it is to her. And while the cutout and subsequent underboob tends to suck up all the attention, we would like to reiterate our stance that high center slits NEVER work.
Ayo Edebiri in Emilia Wickstead
This is really fun. A pendant would’ve been nice.
Britt Lower in Rahul Mishra Couture
What a terrible color for a gown. She looks nicotine-stained.
Danielle Deadwyler in Louis Vuitton
We’re iffy on the shape of that neckline, but she looks stunning in silver and the skirt is interesting and eye-catching.
Elizabeth Debicki in Dior Couture
She’s got the looks to pull this off, but it’s a pretty boring design on its own. We’d say this gown landed on the right wearer. She doesn’t seem to like a lot of jewelry or fuss.
Hong Chau in Fendi Couture
Ma’am, this is terrible. You look like you can tell. We’re not sure what bugs most, those trailing sash things with the raw edges, the rather limp and dowdy use of the lace, or those Regional Managing Director shoes.
Jessie Buckley in Dior Couture
This looks great, but WHERE. IS. THE. JEWELRY?
Kathryn Newton in Carolina Herrera
It’s pretty and princessy, with just a hint of darkness to it. We love it, but we’re not crazy about the crinoline-style hem or the matchy shoes.
Kerry Condon in Louis Vuitton
She’s really stepped up her game. This is dramatic as hell and we’re impressed by the total lack of wrinkles.
Lauren Miller (in Emilia Wickstead) and Seth Rogen (in Fendi)
They look very cute together and his style game remains some of the best among celebrity men.
Li Jun Li in Fendi Couture
Fabulous. We don’t hate sheer gowns. We hate boring, stale sheer gowns.
Meghann Fahy in Ralph Lauren Collection
She couldn’t be better suited for Ralph Lauren. They should hand her a contract.
Olivia Williams in Lanvin
This is stunning and elegant. She looks amazing.
Patricia Arquette
Patty, we love you, which is why we’re here to tall you that all of this was a huge mistake, dear.
Paul Dano (in Dior Homme) and Zoe Kazan (in Julie de Libran)
There’s always one celebrity couple that makes us wish we could stand next to them at a cocktail party. For the longest time it was the Sarsgaard-Gyllenhaals and then it was the Bettany-Connellys, but we think we’re in a Dano-Kazan phase right now. They come off like the coolest, smartest, most sophisticated people at the party. LOVE his look. She mostly had us until we got to the knees. Everything below that is pretty bad, with the exception of the shoes.

We regret to say this about a Christopher John Rogers jawn, but this is an absolute mess.
Sheryl Lee Ralph in Tadashi Shoji
It just looks like fisherman’s netting. If the backing color has been anything but beige, we might have liked this more.
Stephanie Hsu in Carolina Herrera
Love the textile, hate the skirt design. We’re seeing a lot of these wide-strapped, scoop neckline gowns lately. It’s got a classic feel to it that works well for a lot of wearers.
