Oscars 2023 Style File: BLONDE Star Ana de Armas in Louis Vuitton

We used our awesome powers of observation and deduction to predict that Louis Vuitton brand ambassador and Best Actress nominee Ana de Armas, who only wore Louis Vuitton through the entire promotional period for Blonde, would wear Louis Vuitton on Oscar night. And you know what? We were RIGHT. Amazing. Us, we mean. We’re the amazing ones in that reference.

We didn’t love this at all. The bodice looks like a body suit and the waist seam is terribly distracting. It’s the color of dust. The pressed ruffles are sort of pretty, but also borderline dreary and messy looking. Once again, we must suggest that her affiliation with the brand hurt her this awards season. This is just not the dress you wear when you’re up for Best Actress for playing Marilyn. At the very least, bring some glamour and exuberance to it.

We can’t get mad at this. The stained glass motif is a little gimmicky and sort of looks like Cheesecake Factory decor, but the colors are pretty and it’s hard to argue against a bunch of sequins for a an Oscars after party.
