Quinta Brunson is feeling herself. There’s no other way to put it when you see how much the Abbott Elementary star and creator is loving how she looks while sporting some extremely eye-catching high fashion pieces. It’s always fun to watch a rising star – especially one who isn’t built like a runway model – slowly embrace the high fashion newly available to her and learn how to pick the best pieces for herself.

This is spectacular. We might have made more of an issue of the fact that the backing fabric doesn’t match her skin tone, but because it’s barely visible at all, we don’t think it matters too much in this case. The jewelry is gorgeous and we’re loving the winged eye and Cleopatra hair. She looks sexy and glamorous. Every inch a star.

We think we might have found this design to be a little precious or even borderline tacky, but she makes it feel fun. If there’s such a thing as Campy Glam, this might be it. What makes it work is that she paired it with some extremely strong styling that doesn’t tip over into drag queen territory. She could not have wound up with a better hairstyle than this one to pair with that dress. Her makeup looks amazing and we love the jewelry choices. This whole look is a textbook example of how to do balance in style; it’s exuberant where it needs to be and restrained in other areas in order to keep it from going over the top. Really well done styling.
