We’ve been loving K Stew’s butch punk style take during her time as the Berlinale jury president, but we’re afraid she’s lost us with her final look of the week.
No, girl. Not even you. You can’t make this queer or punk or even goth. It’s just a goofy-as-hell dress design using a motif that has gotten incredibly stale by now. We’re honestly a bit surprised that so many ladystars still want to head out in public with their panties on display. Putting aside the near lack of any other design elements worth discussing, the braided trim is a terrible idea. It weighs the dress down and distorts it because it’s so clearly too heavy for the sheer to support it. We guess her style team tried to make this weird frock look edgier by going hard on the hair and makeup, but it doesn’t save the look.
