We kept pausing before writing the first sentence of this post because we couldn’t settle on a title for Oprah, like “Queen Oprah showed her support for The 1619 Project by coming out for the docu-series’ premiere.” Madam Oprah? Empress Oprah? Finally, we settled on the only true honorific she requires. Thee Oprah.
And honestly, Thee Oprah looks pretty great here. Oh, we might quibble about some of the details here; like the shirt choice or the idea that the boots would be better in brown, but Thee Oprah is sporting a pretty great suit, some killer diamonds, and pretty cute curls at an event for an embattled project that benefits from her stamp of approval. That’s all that matters here.
