Evidently, Jennifer Lopez only makes movies where she wears wedding gowns now. The star of Marry Me hit the red carpet for the premiere of Shotgun Wedding – in about as unbridal a look as she could find. Don’t be fooled by the thumbnail. This one gets weird immediately.
Yeah, no. That’s just weird. J Lo has always been a gal who likes to work a sparkly nude or white, but this is just an incomprehensible design. Why would you wear a big sash bow under that thing? We figure the dress is meant to highlight the body underneath in a gauzy, ethereal sort of way that might have been eye-catching and hot if everything hadn’t been rendered in Silly Putty beige. Remove the bow and render everything in a black sheer and it would have been dramatically fabulous, but this version just isn’t doing it. It should be noted that they had to spray paint the model silver in order to make this look interesting on the runway (see below) and even then, it just looked odd and ill-conceived.
