In order to explain why you are being called upon to vote on Inventing Anna star Julia Garner’s Golden Globes dress, we take you back to that hazy, forgotten time of twelve hours ago, when T & Lo were furiously at work live-tweeting the red carpet and writing up their report for Cosmopolitan:

We are both in agreement that this frock is a LOT. Lorenzo thinks it has a bold and joyous exuberance to it, which is exactly where her style sweet spot lies. Tom thinks you can either have crystal fringe OR tiered ruffles, but you can’t have both. Truth be told, he doesn’t think you should have either, but he’s trying to be flexible here. Either way, you make the call. We suspect this will be a relatively easy one, because it’s the kind of dress that provokes immediate reactions. You either love it or hate it. So which one will it be, hotshot?
