Quinta Brunson’s extended victory lap continued as Abbott Elementary and its cast picked up a bunch of trophies at the Golden Globes. Mr. Christian Siriano of the House of Siriano once again did right by her.

She’s a teeny lady with curves, which means most of the fashion industry has no idea she even exists. Christian has wisely made his name by seeking out celebrity women for whom fashion is not necessarily the easiest world to navigate and then makes them look beautiful, like some sort of Project Runway-fueled fairy godfather. Christian rarely steps outside a fairly conventional aesthetic and he’s not the type of designer who looks for the next trend or the hottest new element. Classic eleganza in the drag mode is where his talents lie and he applied them well here. We don’t think it’s a particularly interesting or fresh design, but it couldn’t be better suited to her. That black-and-pink combo really pops on her and the fit is impeccable. We could’ve done without the ruffled bust or that extra ruffle just above the mermaid hem, but exuberance is the whole point of a design like this and we think he pulled back just before the design became overwhelming to her.
