Three celebrity ladies put on their best borrowed colorless frocks and headed out to the Veuve Clicquot “Solaire Culture” exhibit in Los Angeles, which we thought was some sort of cultural event or art show, but is instead just a “global traveling exhibition from Veuve Clicquot, celebrating 250 years of our iconic champagne house. Immerse yourself in Veuve Clicquot’s legacy through a modern and enticing journey exploring the house’s heritage, savoir-faire and cultural imprint from 1772 to the present day.” In other words, it’s just another marketing exercise. But you won’t hear us complaining! Line up for judgment, ladies!

We don’t know… generally, we’re not opposed to animal prints except if they’re overused in an outfit, but we don’t think there’s any good way to make a faux zebra hide look sexy or chic. We might have liked this better if the dress had any sort of design to it, but it’s almost lazily constructed. We expect better of you, Mr. Kors. The sandals are nice.

This is dramatic, although the top half seems unresolved and we find ourselves wishing that the textiles looked a little richer. But we love the shape, the design and that belt.

We like the 1940s vibe of this design a lot, although we think the cutout makes any wearer look like they’re standing askew. The clean face and limp hair don’t really go with the style, but she’s committed to looking like she never cares.
